The best part is how easy it is to connect tracks of the same type. Once you insert an object, you can move it and rotate it by clicking and dragging. Regardless of what object category you select, the objects themselves always appear on the left side of the interface and you can insert them in the working area just by clicking them. You can find an entire ribbon menu with track categories, so you can make your network exactly the way you imagine it. The software places a vast range of track types at your disposal. However, instead of options for aligning text fragments and changing font and heading settings, you get options for inserting various objects, from track to buildings. When you look at the user interface for the first time, you will say that you're working in MS Word, due to the similar colors, ribbon menus and layout. The advantage of flexitrack is the ability to create tight (non prototypical) bends. Unlike other reviewers, I had no problem adjusting the length and bends on the one metre flexitrack sections - my only criticism here would be an inability to make a bend less than 90deg. This package is surprisingly easy to use, with a pretty good library of manufacturers track - so I was able to pick various components especially standard radius bends to see what I could achieve. I am planning an expansion project for my HO layout and wanted something to test out various ideas constrained by my available space of 2.2 x 1.5m.
